week four

i never had a perception of germay to start with so it was hard for my perception to be challenged. i find it is sad to see the amputee homeless people which makes me think germany has a less than adequate healthcare system. by comparison to australia. the people i meet are so friendly but the waiters are quite rude, and the hochbrauhaus in munich we couldnt even place our whole order because the waiter couldnt be bothered listening to it all. my perception of germany overall is positive because the friends i have made are lovely and the teachers at university are really friendly.

week three

i have not had many issues interacting with germans or host mum. at a party when the germans were eating cherries i said i love kirche and they said what, u love church, but i was pronouncing kirche and not kirsche. so they corrected me and we could laugh about it and i will be sure not to make the same mistake again. german people are very good at english and there is not alot of communication difficulties because if u cannot speak adequate german they can most probably speak very good english.
